How an authorized-user line is reported

What the issuer sends, what shows on a file, and what this shop does not control.

An authorized-user tradeline starts with an existing card account. The account holder asks the issuer to add another person. On a later reporting cycle, the issuer can send the account’s age, credit limit, balance, and payment history to the bureaus.

Tradeline Assist sells the placement and the coordination around it. We do not operate the issuer’s reporting system, and we do not edit a credit file by hand.

What you can compare before you buy

Look at four things on the listing: how long the account has been open, the limit band, the price, and how many slots are left. Those details are copied onto your order at checkout.

What changes the timing

Issuers report on their own calendars. Buying just after a report has gone out usually means waiting for the next cycle. The listing should say which window you are buying. If it does not, ask before you pay.

What a purchase is not

It is not a new card in your name, and it is not a promise that a lender will approve an application. If your file has recent collections or late payments, say so. A line is sometimes the wrong tool.
